The Countdown Is On
It’s warming up outside, and the forecast is for a hot and steaming Summer Gay Day in 2008 – and we’re not just talking about the weather.
With just a few weeks to go before Summer Gay Day takes over the gorgeous surrounds of Kippax Lake in Moore Park, the excitement is starting to build. The days are getting longer and the countdown is officially on.
As well as two main stages filled with DJs and live music, Summer Gay Day will be a stunning day out packed with entertainment including amusement rides, dodgem cars, food stalls, licensed bars, a Midori and Cuervo cocktail bar, the Salt Clinic massage spa and, well, a giant bucking penis. It has to be ridden to be believed.
With World AIDS Day falling just a few days after, Summer Gay Day is a major supporter of the Red Ribbon Day Appeal, with a dedicated area given to spreading their important messages.
Summer Gay Day is a licensed over 18 event, and public transport is highly recommended.
First Release tickets sold out last month, and Second Release tickets are very close. Tickets are currently $89 + booking fee, and available from Hum Records Darlinghurst and Newtown, SameSame.com.au, Salt Clinic.
