Tickets
You can buy them online at www.samesame.com.au or www.moshtix.com.au from Hum Records on Oxford Street Darlinghurst or King Street Newtown, as well as Salt Clinic Taylor Square, behind the Oxford Hotel. Second Release $89 + BF and Third Release $99 + BF. Limited tickets may be available on the day if tickets have not already sold out.
Event
Summer Gay Day 2008 is Sydney’s Gay & Lesbian Dance Party in the Park on Saturday November 29 from 2pm to 10pm. It is strictly 18+ and is a licensed event (no BYO). Photo ID is required with a valid ticket on arrival and no pets are allowed.
Location
Summer Gay Day is held at Kippax Lake in Moore Park, Sydney. The entrance to the event is on Driver Avenue at Moore Park, across from the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Entry
There are no pass outs for this event as determined by the Trust. There will be a bag check upon entry. Please do not bring umbrellas, tents, folding chairs, cameras or video equipment, dangerous weapons, illicit or dangerous substances or goods.
Weather
This is an outdoor event; in the event of rain or extreme heat there are some covered dance areas, with plenty of trees providing shelter. Ponchos or sun cream will be provided in the event of either. We party no matter what the weather delivers.
Disabled
There is disabled access to the event with a disabled toilet on the site.
Parking
We suggest that you do not drive, but if you really need to, the nearest parking station is in the Entertainment Quarter about 100m walk to the event.
Transport

Eftpos
EFTPOS will be available at the main bar.
Cloakroom
A cloakroom will be provided and located in the Charity and Information Tent.
Food And Drink
There will be food stalls and several licensed bars, including a cocktail bar.
Relaxation
Salt Clinic have their very own Summer Gay Day Spa retreat, so if you want a massage, a mini facial or just a relax – go & enjoy!
Medical
There is a UniMED First AID tent on site and ACON Rovers will roam the site offering assistance & direction. There will be 10 Uni MED medics, 6 ACON Rovers and an ambulance on site for your safety & well being. Do not take risks – if you feel unwell seek immediate medical assistance.
Water
Free water is available on all bars, and there is a free water station on site.
Safety
For your own safety, please drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Party safely and rest from time to time. Look out for your friends. If it is a hot day, sun cream is freely available from first aid.
The Lake
No swimming or dripping! Do not go into the lake, there is blue green algae present and, trust us, it’s not fun.
Police
There will be police at the event. Please keep in mind that drugs and other substances are illegal and will be dealt with as such.
Drugs
We do not condone or endorse the use of illicit substances & any persons found in possession of such substances will be removed from the site.
Red Ribbon Campaign
Summer Gay Day is pleased to support the national Red Ribbon campaign for World AIDS Day. Ribbons can be purchased on the day.

There is a Charity and Information tent where all lost items will be held. If you have lost something please email info@summergayday.com.au
